Dear Indoril Sandil,

Please do excuse the tardiness of my response. I have been gripped by inspiration lately. My mind has been full of color and texture, unable to do anything other than create beauty. I think that you must feel the same way sometimes.

Thank you for sending me your painting. It is quite striking for an amateur experimenting with a foreign style. You have a passion, but I sense from your brush strokes that sometimes you are indecisive. You need to have more confidence to take risks.

When it comes to color, I see that you appreciate both vibrancy and subtlety. You would do well to develop that.

You chose your subject matter well. It can sometimes be helpful to paint the same subject again, perhaps from another angle.

I see how you are trying to emulate other styles, which can be an effective way to learn. I wonder, however, whether you worry too much about the opinions of others? If there is a hesitancy about being yourself? To progress as an artist, you must develop your own style. That is a personal journey of discovery and a journey you will have to make alone.

I am honored to have been able to help you in your artistic development. I remain your humble servant,

Neel Gymont
