Report: Canyon Thresher Found

3E 427, 11th of Last Seed

As instructed, I took a small party to investigate the reported sightings of a horned horror in the deep passages of the catacombs.

I have to corroborate these rumors: a canyon thresher prowls our hallowed caves. Past the broken old bridge we saw the scattered bones of a previous feast. By the grace of ALMSIVI, we gathered the courage to stride forward and found the entrance to the thresher's lair. It had tunneled into a small chamber below the entrance to the area, disturbing the rest of the ancestors wherein placed.

Inside the burrow we found the body of the reckless priest that went missing last month and, soon, the thresher came to investigate the intrusion. After a long fight we managed to drive the creature deeper into its lair, but it was not without sacrifice as one of the guards fell, pierced by sharp talons.

To rid our revered catacombs from this plague, I expect we will need to muster a stronger force.

Humbly,
