Saints of the East

Saint Ino

Saint Ino of the Canyons was a First Era merchant who charted passes through Shipal-Shin and established the trade routes between old Cyrod and Resdayn. Ino brought wealth to both nations and honor to Zenithar through her courageous fortune-seeking. Patron of the Purple Road and canyon travelers.

Saint Cheltesses (the GUIDE)

A towering but gentle saint from Black Marsh, Cheltesses saved the stricken Imperial explorers who discovered Lake Ulaish from a wasting poison, and served as their guide and guardian through many dangers. Cheltesses was martyred by a coward’s arrow atop the Chixathe Mesa. Patron of reluctant guides.

Saint Taldeus (the SURVIVOR)

Taldeus was a sailor in Emperor Uriel V’s Far East Navy during its invasion of Akavir. During the fleet’s scattered retreat from the Uttermost East, Taldeus’ ship was wrecked, and he drifted for many weeks without food or water. Spared by the grace of Stendarr, Taldeus returned to his homeland of Morrowind and served the people as a roaming hero for the rest of his life.

Saint Stend

A humble healer of pure faith, Stend changed her name to honor Stendarr upon hearing word of his mercy, and founded the first of his orders in Black Marsh. Stend was slain by her kin amidst a misunderstanding, but forgave the perpetrator with her dying breath. Patron of shamans and unearned forgiveness.

Saint Symmachus

Loyal servant and bannerman to General Tiber Septim, Symmachus oversaw the integration of Morrowind into the Empire across four centuries, pacifying its quarrelsome Great Houses with just and even-handed application of Imperial Law. As husband and king-consort to Queen Barenziah, Symmachus sought to protect her during the tragedies at Mournhold during the chaos of the Imperial Simulacrum, but was martyred after being struck in the head with a stone thrown by the mob.

Saint Tarjelius (the LOGICIAN)

A wise and honest battlemage from the early Second Era, Tarjelius became the first Argonian to serve as a Consultor of the Inviolable Ratiocinates. He bloodlessly ended an uprising at Archon by argument alone, returning the city to Imperial rule by a great appeal to logic and law. Often depicted with his hands clasped behind his back.

Saint Moraelyn

A mythic king of ancient Morrowind who ruled the murderous, unruly Dunmer with justice and righteousness, Moraelyn appears in many histories as a wise counselor to western kings, and even, on occasion, the gods themselves. Progenitor of the line of Ebonheart, including the Empress Katariah.
