Recall Ashar-Imun

Recall Ashar-Imun

A lesson

by Balver Llothis

Recall Ashar-Imun, O kin of mine: In somber woodland did it proudly stand And though report of its most noble line From record struck, in sternest reprimand,

And mention of their title justly banned It once was such a place of learning true That wise men flocked to it from 'cross the land, Bright Chimer and those Dwarves of darker hue.

But when star-wounded, blood-red Mountain threw Its heart of fire skyward, and divine Tribunal did descend with truth renewed, Revealed to newborn Resdayn grand design,

The traitor House of Dagoth hid behind Ashar-Imun's high walls. They took in hand, And, pitying, cradled snakes; did thus consign Themselves for challenging the Tribunes' ban.

True Indoril did heed the call, combined. in one great host, one shining, holy band, They marched to give the traitors what was due.

Around Ashar-Imun they formed a line Unbroken, weapons then they took to hand And lo, an oath they swore to traitor's rue.

So learn this lesson if thou wouldst recline With heretics 'neath lofty walls: the brand Of ruin, of Ashar-Imun, anew.
