Sacrosanct Justice

Approved by the Order of Doctrine under Felen Dreth

A call to action must be submitted to all in Morrowind, in these most debased of times, to join our ranks.

We, the Ordinators, are the holy guard and priest-soldiers of the Tribunal Temple, sworn to Almsivi and to the protection of their people. Where the Temple erects a shrine, an Ordinator stands vigilant besides it. Where heresy festers, an Ordinator cleanses the wound.

Founded by Saint Olms the Just, Patron of Chandlers and Clerks, the Order has stood watch over Morrowind since the earliest days of the Temple.

From House Indoril come most of our number, and it is their honored craft that shapes the golden mask of Saint Nerevar each of us bears. It is worn by all so that the enemies of the Temple might look upon the Hortator and despair.

This sacred duty is open to any who prove themselves worthy. Devotion, not blood, produces an Ordinator.

All four orders answer to the Alma Rula, who commands the Ordinators from the holy city of Almalexia, with the exception of Vvardenfell. Berel Sala commands all orders on Vvardenfell through authority granted by the Alma Rula due to the Sixth House threat. Outside of Vvardenfell, each order has its own Grandmaster and answers to the Alma Rula.

Beneath their authority we are divided by duty:

The Order of the Watch keeps the peace. Its Ordinators guard the temples, the shrines, and the Temple-held cities, enforcing the law of the Tribunal and, since the Armistice, the laws of the Empire.

The Order of War directly combats the enemies of the Temple. Most are stationed outside Red Mountain, protecting Morrowind from the threat of the Sixth House.

The Order of the Inquisition roots out heresy within the Temple itself, judging priest and layman alike. No false teaching or heretic escapes their sight.

The Order of Doctrine and Ordination are our militant scholars. They approve what may be preached and sung and stand against dissident prophecy and all teaching that would lead the faithful astray.

Those who aspire to one of our Orders must display power in both mind and body. Wield your Strength to destroy the heretic and the demon, and may your Willpower resist temptation and slipshod thought.

With Strength, you must cut the enemy down with a graceful Long Blade, and should their flesh not yield, crush them with a Blunt Weapon. With Strength may you bear the burden of exposing yourself to sin, as well as armors of moderate and severe weight.

Should you eschew the material weapon, wield Destructive flame in one hand, to cauterize the rot of heresy, and wield Restorative light in the other, to mend the wounds of your brothers and sisters.

Those who would take up the Face of Nerevar may seek out the Ordinators at their halls of duty. Present yourself to one of the following, and if you are found fit, you will be set upon the path to the Rite of Saint Olms.

Ilaru Daras -- Ordinator Barracks, Almas Thirr. For those who would march with the Order of War.

Tovas Lythandas -- Office of the Watch, Almas Thirr. For those who would keep the peace with the Order of the Watch.

Irilyn Aran -- Ministry of Doctrine, outside Othrenis. For those who would serve the Order of Doctrine and Ordination.

Come to us with a strong arm and a faithful heart. The Temple has need of both.

The Rite of Saint Olms

Before any may call themselves Ordinator, they must endure the Rite of Saint Olms. It is a test of mettle that every one of us has passed. It is a trial by combat against the enemies of the Tribunal.

Many have perished in the Rite. Even more have fled. Neither failure will open our ranks to you: the dead earn no rank, and the coward earns less. Only by facing the enemies of the Temple with steel and with faith may you prove yourself worthy of the mask.

Saint Olms alone shall decide whether you are worthy.
