TOURNAMENT DELAYED AGAIN!

TOURNAMENT DELAYED AGAIN!

Aspiring champions assembled for the highly anticipated Ebon Hill Tournament have expressed their disappointment and indignation following Castellan Caros Cocceius' announcement that proceedings are to be placed on indefinite hold once again, leaving competitors languishing!

The tournament, celebrating the rule of His Majesty, King Hlaalu Helseth was expected to go ahead soon, with grand tents already erected in preparation outside the Ebonheart city walls, but has been plagued with delays. Absent representatives, missing equipment, and disputes over everything from refreshment vendors to the rumored grand prize have dampened enthusiasm among some city residents and aspirants alike.

One guild representative who wishes to remain anonymous told the Bellman, "It's no major concern for those of us who reside in the city, but some competitors and their entourages have traveled from much farther afield and have been left twiddling their thumbs in tents, or renting accommodation for far longer than planned. I worry they are being left at a disadvantage."

Others argue that the lingering retinues have been a boon for local businesses.

Representatives from organizations across Morrowind, from Imperial Guilds to Dark Elf Houses, and the royal court itself are expected to compete in a melee in the High Rock style... Just as soon as the Castellan gives the word!
