COURT WIZARD PASSES AWAY

Castellan Caros Cocceius has confirmed the passing of Talis Nerethril, Ebonheart's court wizard. A popular figure within the Ebon Tower, Wizard Nerethril's tenure was marked by a commitment to research, especially in the field of extraplanar teleology. He was also highly respected for his diligent mentorship of his two apprentices, Kelkemmello and Saturius.

Nerethril's death will undoubtedly come as a shock to many citizens. The castellan has announced his intention to name a new court wizard "with all haste", but it is unclear how he'll go about the selection process; the Bellman understands that Nerethril left no record of whom he wished to succeed him.

Wizard Nerethril is survived by his son, Methal, who requests privacy in this difficult time.
