So much gold glitters before me, but I value the saint

and the one with mask is no saint!

I am drawn to the mountain,

I am drawn and quartered in faith

but I am loyal to the end!

Forgive me for hearing his terrible voice

even though I have scratched off my ears!

Forgive me for seeing his terrible dreams

even though I have torn out my eyes!

Forgive me for allowing him to infect my flesh

even though I still try to burn it away!

He wants me, to corrupt and taint

but I'm already touched by you, lord!
