Alandro Sul fought alongside Saint Nerevar at the Battle of Red Mountain as his shield-companion. He holds a special place for us Dunmer, as it was he who brought the tragic news of the death of Lord Nerevar, and the betrayal of Dagoth Ur, to the Tribunal. It is known he bore the body of the great Hortator from the bowels of the mountain on his tower-shield, which you can see is still venerated with us today in this shrine. A great hero of our people. To think that some of these weapons here shed the blood of the Traitor Houses at the great battle... Jena Arelat Disposition ≥ 30
In depths of ash-winter, the hearth of the Urshilaku often is warmed by tales of the great hero Alandro Sul. The priest here... she does not tell this story the way I know it. Yennehasit Disposition ≥ 30
I am familiar with the history of Alandro Sul. His story and his teachings are passed down among the Ashlanders from one generation to the next. But long gone are the times that his spirit has spoken to any of us. You think now is the time to summon him again? Peakstar
So, that was Alandro Sul then. I really heard and saw the shield-companion of Lord Nerevar, the heretic who drove the Ashlanders and Dissident Priests into rejecting the Tribunal. He looked so... normal? Alvu Sareleth
Meet me in the Deep Vaults at once. You can enter the catacombs via the Hall of Contemplation and then the Hall of Records. Alvu Sareleth
With four ringlets in our possession we should be able to successfully summon Alandro Sul. Naturally, I would prefer to keep this affair discreet. When we summon him, it will be prudent not to do it right here and now. We need a secluded place suited for such an endeavor. Alvu Sareleth
It is only fitting that it is you -- the incarnation of Lord Nerevar -- who helps summon Lord Nerevar's shield-companion. Alvu Sareleth
As you can see the schism between the one true Temple and the Dissident Priests has its roots with Alandro Sul. I need to know if he did indeed spread such lies as the Ashlanders claim, and if so, why. And the only way to get a truthful answer will be to summon him in person. Alvu Sareleth
Yes, the shield-companion of Lord Nerevar. The Ashlanders claim that he joined them after the death of Lord Nerevar and told them the 'truth' of what happened at Red Mountain. Since then, they have been fiercely rejecting the Tribunal and the Temple. Furthermore, their lies and rejection have spread to former disciples of the Temple itself. Alvu Sareleth
I don't think we'd be able to summon him without you, %PCName, even if we decided to go ahead with the ritual despite your wishes. Simine Turethi
We did it, Nerevarine. We really managed to hear the truth from Alandro Sul himself. How unfortunate that it wasn't what we were hoping for. How does it feel? I can't imagine what it must be like for you to meet one of the people you have shared so many journeys with. Simine Turethi
You can reach the basement by going through the Hall of Contemplation and the Hall of Records. You will need to take an oath not to disturb the venerable dead interred in the basement. There's a room up a set of stairs to the north of the Deep Vaults. Meet me there. Simine Turethi
Four ringlets should suffice to summon Alandro Sul. At least I hope they do. We will try anyway. Of course, we mustn't summon him here in public. That's unthinkable. Fortunately, Necrom is large and sparsely populated. I think I have found a suitable place to summon him without drawing much unwanted attention. Simine Turethi
It's a shame you don't remember him, Incarnate. He was Saint Nerevar's shield-companion. I assume that would have made it much easier to summon him. Simine Turethi
Sorry, too technical? It's the scholar in me. Put bluntly, Nerevarine, I think the truth is somewhere between all these stories. I have seen Vivec's version in the Apographa and believe it is true, at least as far as it goes. Now, though, I want to know the Ashlander's version, and why Alandro Sul felt driven to lie about what happened, if lie he did. And how will we get that information if we don't summon him? Simine Turethi
Ashlander folklore has been wrong before, because they pass their history on as myth. And as any reading of an old myth can tell you, they are highly biased by a culture's demeanor and outlook, and often cannot be understood through an objective lens, unless that lens only takes into account the symbolism intended by the original author. Simine Turethi
You are the Nerevarine. Surely you would remember...? Oh, I guess being the Incarnate doesn't work that way, huh? He was your shield-companion once, Nerevar, and he told the story of your death to the Ashlanders. He's the one responsible for them believing you were murdered. Simine Turethi
Alandro Sul was shield-companion to Saint Nerevar. It was him who brought news of the death of his Lord and the betrayal of Dagoth Ur to the Tribunal. His shield is kept and venerated at the Reliquary of St. Nerevar's Shield-Companion here in the city above Necrom. Alvu Sareleth Disposition ≥ 30
Alandro Sul was the faithful comrade of Lord Nerevar. He bore the body of the Hortator back on his shield when the Saint fell at Red Mountain, and gave testimony on the deeds of the Sharmat. Simine Turethi Disposition ≥ 30
Never in my life would I have imagined meeting Alandro Sul. So that's what history in the making feels like. Verendes Hlervan
When the false gods of the House Dunmer murdered Nerevar, it was Alandro Sul who went out to our forebears and told us the truth of what had happened. Through your deeds, Nerevarine, this seed of truth might finally take root and blossom. Nibani Maesa
He molded our faith just as much as any of your saints, but the only words the Tribunal have for him are liar and heretic. Even though you are of the Temple, you are still our Nerevarine. Can you not write the truth into your holy books? Ashlanders
