You've been expelled from the Guild, %PCName. I can't discuss any of your duties with you right now.

I hope you've been using it well, %PCRank. That's a lot of my research gone to waste.

Do not bring that up again, %PCName.

I've been making good progress with it. The enchantment has really accelerated my development of new Conjuration spells.

After all this time, it's something of a miracle to finally have it in my hands.

Well. I suppose that's all, then. Return to the guildhall, if you like. I have no reward for you.

Then you have made your choice. I will have no one so insolent as you working under me -- you are hereby expelled from the Mages Guild! And even if you somehow manage to regain your good standing with us, I will never give you duties again. So leave. Now. There's nothing for you here.

Are you sure, %PCRank? I must obviously defer to your orders, but this ring has been the focus of my work for the last fifteen years. I would urge you to reconsider your decision.

I'm sorry. Did I not speak clearly? I told you to give me the Ghost Ring, %PCName. That is an order.

Thank you. I know it couldn't have been easy recovering the ring on your own, so let me teach you a special spell I created to call in some backup in tough situations. And a hefty gold reward, of course. You can return to the guildhall now, too. I'll join you there soon.

Really? You found it already? I'm very impressed, %PCName. Please give it to me and you may receive your reward.

You have it? Glad to see my research has finally produced real results. Now give it to me, %PCName, and you may receive your reward.

You're supposed to be looking for it here in Vandirelyon, remember?

It's a powerful magical artifact that was in the possession of a noted sorcerer of the Chimer. I've been searching for it for years, and my research has confirmed that it's somewhere deep within Vandirelyon. I'd like you to go in and start looking around, see if you can find any clues to its location, and return to me once you have it. Or if you find any particular roadblocks to your investigation.

I'd like you to go in and start looking around and see if you can find any clues to its location. But this door needs to be opened before that can happen. The lock on it is complex, and Alteration magic has never been my strong suit, so you'll need to find some way around it before we do anything else.
