I only put that damn powder in his forge, so that the weapons he made for the Indoril would be brittle and useless. How was I supposed to know it would make him sick? I shouldn't have done it, I admit it. But I don't understand why he can't forgive me. If our roles were reversed, I like to think that I'd be able to forgive him.

The blacksmith says he won't forgive me and he wants the Indoril to arrest me? What nonsense! The Temple holds power in Almas Thirr. The Indoril warmongers can't do nothing to me here. But thanks for letting me know. I'll keep my head down, just in case.

It's true that his misfortune has been useful to us. But, honestly, in the grand scheme of things, he's hardly significant. Had he died, we simply would've found another blacksmith to forge our weapons.

Thank you for reporting this to me, %PCName.

Hmph. Very well.

If the Hlaalu think they can do something like that with impunity, they've got another thing coming! Calitia will be punished. Thank you for telling me all of this, %PCName. It is good to know that the Temple is on our side. And I'll make sure to mention your name in my next report to his lordship Indoril Ilvi.

Did Jalor send you? Are the weapons and armor we ordered finished already?

I have heard that you claim to be the Nerevarine. I am not sure what to think about this, but I do not trust you, and I will not give you any duties.

You have broken our rules and have been expelled. If you make amends, I can speak with you about your duties.

I wish Jalor hadn't turned out to be so vengeful.

You handled that duty terribly.

Then I have nothing to say to you.

Good. We can discuss other duties now.

I want you to give me 1000 septims. It is the blood money that will be offered to House Hlaalu.

Thank you for helping him.

You handled that duty terribly.

Thank you for helping him and also for keeping silent.

Calitia is dead, %PCName. Dead! You're a mad dog! Do you have any idea what harm you've caused to the Temple? I won't offer you any duties before you've given me 1000 septims. I will offer the gold to House Hlaalu as blood money.

Mad dog of Sheogorath! Why did you do that? You confuse the Temple's wisdom for weakness and your own foolishness for courage. After the Indoril deal with Calitia, the Hlaalu will make Jalor suffer one way or the other. By the time this conflict is over, what Calitia did will seem like a harmless prank! I will have to inform the Canon of what has happened and write some letters. Only time will tell how big of a mess you've made, but I fear this might lead to bloodshed in Almas Thirr.

You will not walk over me on this matter, %PCRank. I forbid you from telling the Indoril commander about this! Leave now, and don't come back until you've decided where your loyalties lie.

I don't see why you'd need to think about this. Commander Silsi mustn't know of this. The right course of action is clear. Let me know when you're ready to accept that.

It's good that you agreed. The Three willing, we will avoid this conflict. I am worried, though, of the recent actions of both House Indoril and House Hlaalu. Where there are spears, there will eventually be blood. I want you to have these Temple scrolls. May they help you in trials to come. Let me know when you're ready to perform new duties.

So, Jalor Indo was unwittingly poisoned by a Hlaalu hireling. We mustn't let the Indoril know of this, %PCRank, or they will surely retaliate against the Hlaalu. Calitia's offense was not intentional and she will not dare cause any more trouble. And you managed to help Jalor Indo before any lasting harm was done to him. We can deem this matter settled here and now, and neither of the Great Houses will be antagonized. We can preserve the peace between the two Houses. I hope you understand.

Have you made up your mind yet?

It's good that you helped Jalor Indo, %PCRank. But reporting to Irnami Silsi would be beyond unwise! House Indoril and House Hlaalu are vying for control of the Thirr. So far, thanks to our efforts, the conflict hasn't escalated to a House War and both Houses have been treating Almas Thirr as neutral ground. The Temple can't lose its credibility as a mediator of peace. What happened to Jalor Indo was unfortunate, but we can't knowingly allow the Indoril to retaliate. I hope you understand.

You managed to help Jalor Indo? Well done, %PCRank. Now, let's talk about your new duties.

You can find him in the market bridge, west of here. He has a vendor's stand there. Find a way to help him.

Jalor is a smith, hard-working and humble -- a true follower of the teachings of the Temple. I've learned that he is sick and has Blood Lung, and I want you to go and help him, %PCRank. You can find Jalor Indo outside on the market bridge, west of here. He has a vendor's stand there. Here's a potion that I hope will cure him.
