Perhaps it wasn't. Perhaps it was simply lost, and Nerevar's Axe remains there, waiting to be recovered. And I have an idea of how you can find it. Within the stronghold of Farasimayn, there is a propylon which ancient records say connects to Idaverrano. One who bears Idaverrano's propylon index and touches the stone will be teleported there in an instant. And I know where the index can be found: Nerayn Manor. Go there, find the index, teleport from Farasimayn to Idaverrano, and recover Nerevar's Axe.

Saint Nerevar was a renowned axemaster, but the histories do not record what happened to his axe after the Battle of Red Mountain. I assumed it had been lost forever. But I have learned of an Ashlander legend which tells that Nerevar's shield-bearer and closest companion, Alandro Sul, recovered the axe and returned it to the vault of Nerevar's stronghold, Idaverrano. What is odd about this legend is that Idaverrano, as well, was supposedly destroyed in the aftermath of the Battle of Red Mountain.
