Many times have I tried to describe the experience of using punavit. I contemplate the spirits, and it is as if my flesh fades away, leaving only my soul behind in this world. I hear the ancestors clearer than I hear you now, and yet it also seems as if they are whispering from behind a waterfall. In recent years, however, I have come to the conclusion that mere words will never suffice to explain it. Some things simply must be felt to be believed. Indoril Sandil Disposition ≥ 30
Punavit is a sacred drink, important to the traditions of House Indoril. The chapel of Gorne receives fermented punavit wash from other Indoril chapels, which we distill here into punavit residue for use in our rituals. It is both illegal and dangerous for non-Indoril to possess it. Nyra Sandil Disposition ≥ 30
The holy drink of House Indoril. Consumed properly, it allows communion between the living and the dead without being subjected to this unbearable mortal chill. It is forbidden to those outside House Indoril for reasons which are hopefully now obvious. Malvys Ulneth
There are four methods of bypassing the final barrier. This is the first. The second is to die. The third is to trick the barrier into thinking you have died. The fourth has been forgotten, and was never useful regardless. Aurelia Draconis
I would've never guessed that the proper way of drinking it was so structured, but it really does seem to make a difference. My trances are much more focused now. Not to mention how much stronger punavit residue is than the wash. Aurelia Draconis
I've been trying to write a history of Old Ebonheart and Khalaan, the Indoril city that this place was built on top of, but I kept running into dead ends while researching Khalaan's destruction. I heard punavit let you talk to Dunmer spirits, and I thought that meant I could ask people who were actually there. But it didn't work at all. I barely remember anything from my trance except how terrified I was. Aurelia Draconis
You've been kicked out of the Guild, %PCName. I can't talk to you until you make amends. Gordol the Scrivener
Hmm, let me see... Yes, this punavit wash appears to be genuine. Good work, %PCRank. Some of our west bank clients will pay very well for this. Here's your share in advance. If you're ready for more jobs, let me know. Gordol the Scrivener
A rival smuggling gang led by one Ernand Carstien has obtained five jugs of punavit wash. This substance is illegal -- and thus, expensive -- for non-Indoril. I want you to go to their hideout and take what they have. The hideout is in the Mabit Grotto. Follow the Thirr River to the north, past the Daedric ruins of Hadrumnibibi, and stick to the east coast. You'll see the grotto on the northern side of a small isle, just south of Felms Ithul. It's hard to miss. Gordol the Scrivener
Don't bother selling punavit to House Indoril. They can detect it easily, and will refuse to interact with anyone who isn't a House noble and carrying it. Adosi Biran
Punavit is a sacred drink, reserved only for high-ranking Indoril. You might find some in Vhul in the Indoril lands, or in the ruins of Tur Julan. Ereven Peronys
Punavit is a sacred drink the high-ranking Indoril keep for themselves, made of nectar exctracted from the long-legged velk. Indoril Ilvi of Roa Dyr controls a brewery in the town of Vhul. You might be able to acquire some there, covertly. There are also remnants of Indoril presence west of the Thirr, chiefly the ruins of Tur Julan. You might be able to find something there. Athires Hlaalu
Punavit is a sacred drink reserved for high-ranking members of House Indoril, like Lord Ilvi, to commune with their ancestors. Its creation is a multiple-step process. To begin, velk nectar is brewed into punavit wash in one of the Velothi village. The wash is then brought to a chapel so that it may be distilled into punavit residue. This residue is what is used in our hallowed rituals. Diranya
Punavit is a high-class beverage of House Indoril made by fermenting Velk nectar. Its preparation and ritual consumption is complex and carefully regulated, and its distribution restricted. Punavit Wash, the unrefined form of punavit, weakens the body and mind, making one susceptible to spirit whispers. It is said that in its refined form called Punavit Residue the beverage allows Indoril to commune with their ancestors. Publican Disposition ≥ 30

We brew punavit wash from velk nectar and send it to the Indoril chapel at Roa Dyr, where it's distilled into punavit residue. They use it in their rituals, though I have no idea for what reason. I've only heard rumors and, as far as I can tell, it's nothing us common folk should dabble in. Disposition ≥ 30 Vhul, Brewer's Hall
Look, I can't sell you something like that -- our lord would have my head for it. Can I maybe interest you in another fine trinket instead? Syvvit Tong Vhul
The fermented velk nectar made here in Vhul is punavit wash, and it's not safe to drink. It can make you hear whispers from all manner of spirits, both well-meaning and malevolent. Punavit residue is what many envy the Indoril for. It's the refined end product of punavit wash, and only high-ranking Indoril may taste it. Anyone else risks serious trouble for even possessing a jug. Vhul
The punavit wash we brew in Vhul goes to Muther-sil Roa Dyr. Perhaps you will be able to consume it at his hearth. Dark Elf Vhul
