What? Who is talking to me right now?

I'm glad I put that gold behind you.

Here's your payout. I put a little extra on top from what I earned off my bet. I thought that would be fair. I'll be here when you want to fight in the Arena again.

He'll be up there. Don't lose.

He was agitating for a duel to the death with you, but then he turned up dead. A source told me that you were involved in that. So you're fired. Get out of my Arena.

Just give the word when you are.

Alright. Remember, don't mess with corpse. Anything else is fair game. Also, don't lose. Got some gold riding on you this time.

Ready for your duel to the death?

Seems like Alanius Calatus hasn't taken your rise in the Arena very well. He's claiming that you're a cheat to anyone who'll listen. Challenged you to a fight to the death. We're going through with it. I'd normally refuse him, but a lot of people want to see the Trooper dead. He's trained a bit since your last match, so it should be at least a little challenge. Come back when you've made your preparations.

You lost. No sugarcoating it.

No killing unless I say you can. I told you that when you joined up. You clearly can't control yourself. You're out. Don't come back.

You beat him. I heard he wasn't too happy about that.

You fought well. I overheard Alanius ranting to the others about it. Let him vent. Here's your gold. I can arrange something else when you're ready to fight in the Arena again.

You lost. The fans won't like it. It'll take some work to get back on their good side. You'll have to try your luck fighting beasts in the Pit.

Get up there before the fans start getting rowdy.

He would've been a good second matchup, if he wasn't dead. And I heard that you had something to do with that. You're fired. Get out of my Arena.

Fine. Come back when you are.

Alright, Alanius will meet you in the Pit. Remember to go in through the white door up the steps behind me.

Ready to go? Alanius is getting sick of waiting.

First, I gotta give you this. Should've given it to you when you signed on, but I wanted to make sure you were worth a damn first. Now, you'll be fighting Alanius. He used to be Legion. Fights well enough, but he's got an inflated opinion of himself. Now go rest up, talk to the fans, place your bets, or whatever else you want to do. Come back and talk to me when you're ready to fight.

He used to be Legion. Fights well enough, but he's got an inflated opinion of himself. You'd think Hlaalu Pasaroth himself had returned to us the way he waxes on. Now go rest up, talk to the fans, place your bets, or whatever else you want to do. Come back and talk to me when you're ready to fight.

It's nonsense that you got your Silver Scales before me. I beat you! I'll prove that you're a cheat when we meet in the Pit again.

I'm going to beat you, and then I'm going to find out exactly how you've been cheating. I hope you're ready. It's to the death this time, so Eralgor won't be able to call it off just as I'll have the high ground again.

I'm not buying it. I think you cheated and I'm going to find out how.

I won fair and square. Don't get all pouty over it.

I won fair and square. Don't get all pouty over it.

I know you're new here, %pcclass. so I'll try not to hurt you too badly up there. Just know that you won't be beating me.

He wasn't even that bad of a fighter. His career only stagnated because nobody wanted to work with him.

He's a decent fighter, but a boor to work with. Never before have I met someone so unpleasant.

He's gone now, huh? Can't say he'll be missed.

You'll hear all sorts of tales about why the Legion gave him the boot. Most of them are lies. I think Felms and Eralgor are spreading them to try and boost his crowd sizes. The truth is, he made a joke about Athires Hlaalu while in a tavern. If you've seen the High Hlaalu, I'm sure you could guess the punchline. One of his daughter's ears heard it. She then relayed it to her father. A word to Baryl, and the Trooper was out on the streets. Sorry to disappoint you, gladiator, but that's the whole of it.

What about him? You want to know why he got booted from the Legion? I'm not sure if I trust you enough to tell you that.

He's gone now, thank the Three. His prattle was driving me mad.

If I have to listen to him prattle on about his skills one more time, I might go mad.

He thinks he's much better with his sword than he actually is. He'll learn that the hard way if he ever faces off with anyone who knows what they're doing.

I've heard all sorts of rumors about him, but I was always taught that those flow from the House of Troubles. They don't bear repeating.

I overheard someone say that he knocked out some Hlaalu guard's tooth in a drunken tavern brawl. That would've been the end of it, had the Hlaalu guard not been Andres Hlaalo himself. If the story's true, he's lucky that a discharge from the Legion was the worst he got.

Somebody told me that he spat in Atran Oran's face while he was visiting the city. THE Atran Oran. That couldn't be true, could it?

I heard he was discharged from the Legion after he was caught abed with the High Hlaalu's daughter. But you didn't hear that from me.

So you didn't cheat? Shame. I could've gotten a refund on all of the bets I placed against you. No offense.

He claims you cheated. Any truth to that? I hope so. I might be able to get a refund on some of those bets I placed against you. No offense.

Like a lot of Legionnaires, he's predictable. Exception being the Skewer, of course. But as far as Alanius goes, any fighter worth their salt will be able to read him.

You killed him in a duel, gladiator.

I've heard all kinds of things about him, but I don't know how much of it is true.
