"ABCs for Barbarians" is quite a common find at reputable book stores. It's used throughout the Empire to teach basic literacy to those that didn't get a comprehensive education at a younger age.

The next books we'll need are "Arithmetic for Barbarians" and "Geometry for Barbarians." Like I said, I'm not sure where to find them, and they're a lot less common than "ABCs." But they're vital to teaching Garash the basics.
