I don't believe I did anything wrong. If the instructors here were more open-minded, I'd be praised, not punished.

Now that Felsa Thiralas thinks that I'm naturally talented, she's given me a lot more work.

Now that I'm seen as talented, I'm given far more work than before. I'll need to brew more potions to keep up.

You did? I mean... of course you did! I'm not a cheater, and that's the end of that.

You did? Oh, thank you! Here, please take one of my best brews as thanks. And if you want to try brewing it yourself, it's pretty easy. Mix an alchemist's globe -- they're all over the place near Darvonis, in the Sundered Scar, north of here -- with an ash yam. Blue lichen also works, though that's only really found in the Othreleth Woods, to the west.

I'm a good student, I swear. I just needed a little help. Please don't tell anyone!

Go bother someone else, will you? I have to... uh... study.

You went through my chest? I mean... uh... oh, all right, I admit it. But I wasn't lying, I did get here through hard work. It's just, I didn't expect the studies here to be so difficult. All those laws, precedents, ancient history! So I did what I'm good at and fixed up a brew to make learning a little easier. You know, I thought alchemy was prized by House Indoril! I should be commended for my initiative. But I know my instructors won't see it that way. You won't tell anyone, will you?

I'm no cheater! It's hard work and talent that got me where I am, and I won't hear a word otherwise.

The matter is no longer your concern, outlander. I will see to the young man's discipline.

It seems I was wrong to suspect him.

Is that so? Then perhaps I've misjudged him. I will have to pay closer attention to him, and ensure his talents are properly nurtured.

No? Return when you have.

Are you entirely sure about that? Have you searched his room thoroughly?

An impressive concoction. I would not have thought him capable of it. If I recall correctly, he hails from the north, and so, perhaps... the nectar of an alchemist's globe, suspended in scrib jelly? Yes, that must be it. However, there's no quick way to learn virtue. It can only be learned through hard work and patience. If he had applied these skills to his studies, instead of his cheating... well, he will discover the consequences. Thank you for informing me. Take this as your reward.

Did you find any proof that Teldris is cheating?

Then begone. I have too much to do to waste my time with the likes of you.

Good. I give you authorization to search his room. It is in the dormitory we reserve for retainers on the east side of the chapel complex, next door to the Temple. His room is on the second floor, opposite the door which leads to the outer wall walkway. If you find anything suspicious in there, bring it directly to me. Do not speak to the student about this -- I am trusting your discretion in this matter.

Yes, Teldris Nelvayn. Have you decided that you are going to help me do something about it?

Ordinarily, cheating would be investigated by the senior housemen, but of late they have been... otherwise engaged. I would look into it myself, but I am an educator, and so I am busy. In order to preserve Nanaav's prestige as one of House Indoril's venerable places of learning, something must be done. And so I am asking you, outlander, to do it. The suspected cheat is Teldris Nelvayn. Until recently he was unremarkable. His recent improvement is most remarkable. Will you find out how he's doing it?

So, Felsa Thiralas was vindicated. Now she's angling for a promotion to Cousin.

Another false accusation. It isn't a good look for the chapel.

I don't want anything to do with it.

I always knew there was something funny about Teldris Nelvayn. All of a sudden he's acing every test? That dullard?

I knew he didn't do it. Teldris is a hero for putting up with that witch hunt.

I don't believe it for a second. Felsa Thiralas has it in for the students, and that's it.
