Sounds like you found the most likely perpetrators, %PCName. I don't know if the roads will be any safer, but at least no innocent blood was spilled. Ravur Othravel
It will probably be impossible to find out what exactly happened to that pilgrim in the Ashlands. I think Nalvs just wants a show of force, or a scapegoat. I'd be surprised if he even knew the pilgrim's name. Be careful not to direct your ire at the innocent, %PCName. Ravur Othravel
Excellent work, %PCRank. I'm sure the people of Bal Foyen will want to hear all about your conquests over the foul inhabitants of the Armun. I'm afraid we will have to skip the pleasantries though, as we have important duties to attend to. Nalvs Andolin

Those witch-women and their vile magics are a stain on Dunmer honor. Good riddance to them. Now let us return to our duties. Nalvs Andolin

The Ashlanders are heretics, and you did well to destroy them, %PCRank. Have no pity for those who turn away from the Tribunal. Now let us return to our duties. Nalvs Andolin

Vampires? I'm surprised you made it out alive then, %PCName. Excellent work. Do make sure you have not been infected with their foul curse, so that you may return to your duties without incident. Nalvs Andolin

Strange. I wonder what might have killed them. No matter, we have more important duties to attend to. Nalvs Andolin
I knew that Orc could not be trusted. The Ashlands are better off without these vile spawn of the House of Troubles. Now let us return to our duties. Nalvs Andolin

I'm sure you've had all sorts of adventures. Tell me, whatever group of miscreants did you mete out justice upon? Nalvs Andolin
Like I said, go to Arvud, find whoever is most likely to have killed that pilgrim, and smite them in the name of our Lords. And before you ask, no, this is not a job for the Ordinators. We don't need the Alma Rula interfering in our affairs here in Bal Foyen. What we need is to find ourselves a culprit, and show that the Ashlands are not beyond the reach of the Tribunal's justice. Nalvs Andolin
A pilgrim who was on their way to Bal Foyen from down south was found dead in the Armun Ashlands, just north of Arvud. The ashlands are dangerous, and pilgrims usually avoid them. The body was found mutilated and stripped of valuables, which suggests bandits or worse killed them. We can't have that, and I can't have the Ordinators breathing down my neck about it. Go to Arvud, find out what happened, and show that the Temple does not tolerate assaults on pilgrims. Nalvs Andolin
Terrible business, that. I hear the body was found, stripped of all valuables, and heavily slashed up. Normally when folks go missing, it's the wildlife that did them in, but this was unnatural. Cultists, I tell you. No doubt from the Daedric shrine north of town, or the savages in the northeast. Dark Elf Arvud
Like I said, there is a group of unworthy troublemakers, likely holed up in the ruins to the east. Seek your justice there, %PCRace, and leave us be. As for the Ashlanders, I doubt they would interfere with your Temple's people. Orkrat gro-Golfimbulz Disposition ≥ 30
So be it. On the Bloody Oath, I have told you the truth. And I will not suffer your suspicions in Malacath's house! Orkrat gro-Golfimbulz
I know of those who would seek shelter in our shrine, but not pay Malacath the proper offerings. Who would seek revenge on society for shunning them. Who would seek to take from the world that which it would not hand them freely. We dealt with such a group recently, and barred them from our shrine for their offense. We saw them leave towards the east, and if they were at all sensible they would have avoided the Ashlanders and found shelter in the ruins there. Orkrat gro-Golfimbulz
We are children of Malacath, traveler. This shrine offers shelter to the spurned, but we do not tolerate violence directed at innocent travelers. To assault an unarmed pilgrim, to seek combat with the weak, would bring dishonor upon us all. No, we did not kill your pilgrim. Orkrat gro-Golfimbulz Disposition ≥ 50
None of us at this shrine would do such a thing. Ask Orkrat if you don't believe me. Disposition ≥ 50 Hummurushtapi, Shrine
What use would a dead pilgrim be to us? Do you see them among our numbers? No? Then clearly you need to look elsewhere. Bisaya Hashinara
We know better than to risk the wrath of the settled peoples, outlander. Whoever killed your pilgrim was not Tirigan. But these lands are full of dangers. There are Orcs in the Daedric shrine to the west, and bandits in the ruins to the east. Mabrigash prey on the unwary, and during ash storms and at night, worse things still come out to prowl these wastes. Any one of those could have killed a traveler. But not us.
