You heard about this? Yes, when I tried to escape a few nights ago, a velk escaped too. It followed me through a hole in the northern part of the paddock. I can't say for sure which direction it was heading, as it was dark and I don't have Khajiit eyes. Now not only are my masters unhappy that I led to one of their beasts escaping, but I'm also watched like a cliff racer.

The errant velk would often seek out corkbulb to tear up, so wherever it is, I'd warrant corkbulb isn't far off. Miss Doranu Othril farms corkbulb, you might try asking her first. Her fields are just north of the bridge in-between Felms Ithul and Dondril. If you find it, I'd suggest taking these scrolls of Guiding Hand to lure it back to the paddock. Don't bring just any velk back here. The velk you're looking for is smaller than a normal velk, so we'll be able to tell.

Velks can't swim, especially smaller ones like the errant velk, so it probably crossed the bridge to the east. If you find it, bring it back here. Velks are the property of the Indoril Ilvi and losing his property is akin to being robbed, and Indoril do not permit themselves to be robbed.

It's true, we're short a velk. A slave attempted an escape at an inopportune time. He didn't make it very far, but the velk did. There is no punishment to give a slave that can outweigh the loss of a velk, but I did my best on that count. If you find it, bring it back here.

I heard something root around by the corkbulb one night. I thought it was some ordinary vermin and threw my dagger at it, but its squeal revealed it to be a little velk. I don't want any trouble from Muther-sil Roa Dyr's retainers, sera. The little errant velk ran off along the edge of the farm; it likely hasn't gotten very far. Please do what you can for it and, well, I know I ask for a lot, but if you could keep this a secret I would be very grateful.

The velk has torn up my crops before, but I have no idea where it runs off to and it is a waste of time to chase velks. Leave it be, %PCClass, I can live with the nuisance. Minor trials shape character. And you must have better things to do with your time.

Most figure it must have escaped from Felms Ithul, the hamlet west of here. It's likely a bred velk, since wild velks are not usually so bold. It's been driven it away on a number of occasions. Unfortunately it seems to know it won't come to harm, so it's quick to return.
