It was all worthless. The Crown of Ushu-Dimmu was cursed.

An ancient Ashlander burial has been unearthed in the iron mine? Good. It seems that the map that you recovered for me earlier had accurate information... The burial cavern that you have found is not all there is. It is but an antechamber. Beyond that place lies hidden the true prize of Ushu-Kur -- the Cursed Crown of Ushu-Dimmu.

Since you've been gone we've continued our work. There's a new tunnel that can be reached from this chamber. A natural lava cave, by the looks of it. Your buddy Jubal went on in, but he's not come back out. Doesn't look safe, if you ask me.

You should stand back, %PCName. We're about to break through a wall of rocks...

You should stand back, %PCName. We're about to break through a wall of rocks...

Gelvu Andas has agreed to pay us in gold? Good. Thank you for siding with us, %PCName. As promised, the work will continue now. We are going down to the northern mine shaft. You should tell Gelvu.

Tell Gelvu Andas that we're going to work again.

We aren't going to do that before Gelvu Andas does as we ask. And we're not asking much. We just don't want to be paid in Hlaalu Company scrip.

You speak for the overseer? Well, I speak for the miners. Is she ready to negotiate? Or did she send you to rough me up? No matter. No threat or trickery is going to change our minds. Our resolve is iron. This mine is not going to expand anywhere -- not as long as the overseer insists on paying us in Hlaalu Company scrip.

I knew the old heebie-jeebies I got wasn't for nothing. There's no iron in this place... only ghosts.

The mine shaft that were supposed to expand... That thing is giving me the old heebie-jeebies. I don't think we should dig any deeper.

We've decided to make Tryr our spokesman. Talk to him.

Strange.

I did not appreaciate this jest. But it's good to hear that you found the burial. For a moment I thought that we had made an error in our calculations. Here's your pay. And I have new orders for you, too.

Now, wait a minute, sellsword. You will be paid for your work, yes, but I am surprised by your report... You see, we have misled both you and the miners a little. It wasn't out of malice, believe me. You simply didn't need to know everything. What we expected to find in the northern mine shaft was, in fact, an Ashlander burial chamber.

Being clever, are we? Well, yes, I admit that we misled both you and the miners. It wasn't out of malice, believe me. You simply didn't need to know everything. What we expected to find in the northern mine shaft was, in fact, an Ashlander burial chamber. I take it that that's what you found, yes? Here is your reward. And I've got new orders for you, too.

Ahemm... I see how you would think, sellsword. Well, I must admit that I may have misled both you and the miners a little. While an ore vein would otherwise be a welcome discovery, I was actually expecting that we'd find something else: an Ashlander burial.

Yes, of course. You've done your job, sellsword, making sure that the mine has stayed both secure and operational. Here is your reward. And I've got new orders for you, too.

Well, I must admit that I may have misled both you and the miners a little. It wasn't out of malice, believe me. But you don't need to concern yourself with this. You've done your job, sellsword, making sure that the mine has stayed both secure and operational. Here is your reward. And I've got new orders for you, too.

You don't need to concern yourself with that. You've done your job, sellsword, making sure that the mine has stayed both secure and operational. Here is your reward. And I've got new orders for you, too.

Don't keep me waiting, sellsword.

What? Really? That's... that's...

Ahh. This is good. Very good.

That's done. We've found the burial.

Are you sure you didn't discover an Ashlander burial?

I trust that the expansion work was carried out as instructed. Did you discover a new ore vein?

Make sure that everything proceeds smoothly and that there are no further delays. The northern mine shaft needs to be expanded.

Now, to make sure that everything proceeds smoothly and that there are no further delays, I want you to go down to the northern mine shaft and oversee the expansion. And try not to kill any more of our workers, okay?

Tryr and the miners are going back to work, then? Good. Now, to make sure that everything proceeds smoothly and that there are no further delays, I want you to go down to the northern mine shaft and oversee the expansion.

You've broken the deadlock and gotten the workers back in line! Excellent work, sellsword. Now, to make sure that everything proceeds smoothly and that there are no further delays, I want you to go down to the northern mine shaft and oversee the expansion.

I already told you that I'm going to yield to the miners' demands. They will be paid in gold septims. Go and tell Tryr that, so the work can continue.

The work cannot continue without the miners. Make them accept their pay in Hlaalu Company scrip. It's clearly useless to reason with Tryr, but speak with the others. See if you can turn them against Tryr.

So, the miners have named Tryr as their spokesman? Hah. That petty laborer thinks he has the authority to negotiate with a noble of House Hlaalu? The misplaced arrogance of that man... it would be almost endearing, if the delay wasn't costing us gold and time. And what does Tryr the Wise say then? His main grievance is being paid in Hlaalu Company scrip?

Scholars of geology working for serjo Tholer Andas say that, according to an ancient map of this area, there should be a rich, as-of-yet untapped ore vein deep in the northwestern part of the mine. I've received instructions to expand the iron mine in that direction. However, all the work has been unexpectedly halted. The miners are refusing to mine! I need you to fix this. Reason with miners -- coerce them, if you must. Do whatever you have to to get them back to work.
