Do you want me to listen to reason now, %PCName?

You have refused my offer, and now I'd like to hear yours. Do you want me and my gang to leave Old Ebonheart?

I'd like you to hear my offer involving you and the Thieves Guild.

Why do you insult me so, %PCName? I already know the truth, I just wanted to hear it from your lips. We might be enemies, but at least we could share a mutual respect. But maybe we didn't need to be enemies anymore. So, I'm making you a counter offer involving you and your Thieves Guild.

So, I was right. I respect your honesty, %PCName. I even respect the courage you have to come here, even though you are my enemy. But maybe -- seeing how we share a mutual respect -- we need not be enemies anymore. So, I'm making you a counter offer involving you and your Thieves Guild.

Actually, before you answer my question, let me tell you what I think, thief. I think the Guild sent you to infiltrate my organization so you could murder me. Am I right? Be truthful, %PCName. I promise you no harm will come to you under my roof for speaking the truth.

Come back when you have Merxia Vendicci's signet ring.

You have Merxia Vendicci's signet ring? Good. The boss has new orders for you. S'varr must die.

Bring me Merxia Vendicci's signet ring first.

You're already in. Congratulations.

There's only one rule: do as you're told. Plain and simple. Right now you're being told that S'varr must die.

There's only one rule: do as you're told. Plain and simple. Right now you're being told to go and get Merxia Vendicci's signet ring for me. I need it for some paperwork. I happen to know that Vendicci keeps her signet ring in the upstairs dressing room of her manor. One can enter that room from the manor proper, but it might be worth a shot to try to find a different way into her chamber. Find it and bring it to me.

Do you wanna join us? I've heard some things about you, %PCName. You wanna be on the winning side, aren't you? Mister Delagia respects that. If you prove yourself, maybe you'll be granted the boss' audience. But that's the key question. Anyway, you're in. Welcome to the gang.

You no longer have to join them, %PCRank.

Otrebus Delagia is dead? And all his thug enforcers, too? Then the gang is finished. I trust that you did what you did because you had to. The people of Old Ebonheart can breathe a little easier now thanks to you. Here. Take these as a reward. We can talk about other jobs now.

Otrebus Delagia is dead? Then the gang is finished. Individual gang members might still cause us some trouble, but without Delagia's leadership they can't pose a real threat. I trust that you did what you did because you had to. The people of Old Ebonheart can breathe a little easier now thanks to you. Here. Take these as a reward. We can talk about other jobs now.

You negotiated with Otrebus Delagia? And you managed to persuade him and his gang to leave Old Ebonheart? They'll return to Cyrodiil? This is astounding! You have ended this conflict without bloodshed. Thanks to your silver tongue the people of Old Ebonheart can breathe a little easier. You have done our city a great service. Here. Take these as a reward. We can talk about other jobs now.

Come back when you've infiltrated the gang and dealt with Otrebus Delagia once and for all.

They'll no doubt make you do some of their own dirty work for them. Do what you must, within reason. Eventually, I'm sure, Otrebus Delagia will want to talk to you in person. Then, you should act on your own. I don't think he can be easily persuaded to leave Old Ebonheart, not without a very real threat or some leverage against him. You might find out a piece of evidence that could be used to throw him and his gang into prison, and use that to persuade him into making a deal. Good luck, %PCRank.

Delagia's gang is like a serpent that's constricting our town. Cut off the head, the serpent dies. That head is the gang's leader Otrebus Delagia, but getting to him is easier said than done. No one gets to see Otrebus Delagia unless they're a gang member, and Delagia is protected by the authorities. Which means that for this job you have to become a member. I want you to go to their base, talk to Medemilian Rane and join the gang. Tell them you're a traitor who has defected from the Thieves Guild.
