The Sword of Taldeus... everyone in Morrowind's heard a story about Taldeus, at least here in the east. But the mysterious part is, nobody knew where he was buried. And everyone wanted to know, because he was buried with a sword bearing a powerful enchantment. But %Name isn't put off by problems like "nobody knows" or "it's been missing for decades". What Hanmar wants, Hanmar -- ouch! Ooh, my leg's not in good shape after our last venture. Bring me a healing potion and I'll tell you the rest of my tale.

Do you have the Sword of Taldeus?

The lost relic in question is the Sword of Saint Taldeus. By chance one of the adepts was visitng Helnim's Red Drake Inn after attending to some matters at the Chapel of Kynareth there. He overheard a relic-hunter boasting that he and his crew had found the Sword, but lamenting that they had not been able to acquire it. I need you to go to Helnim at once, learn the location of the Sword, and recover it before those grubby adventurers can get their hands on it.

Well done on recovering the Sword. That was one of the Chapel's most sought-after lost relics, and now you have brought it home.

The relic-hunters in Helnim didn't tell me where to find the Sword of Taldeus, but maybe you could get some more information out of them. The leader was a boastful Nord in dinged-up and stinking iron armor. They'll probably still be at the Red Drake Inn, if you hurry.
