Varos is gone. He told no one, save you, of his departure. While we had a complex relationship, we will mourn his departure.

Varos is a capable leader, albeit a physically absent one. It is only through his guidance and strength that we survive to this day. He is not an Orc, but he knows how to fight like one.

Varos is no doubt pleased at what you've done for him. Enough note-fetching. Now that I have the Romayon index, we must now get the Khalaan index.

You gave him the notes, but where is the Romayon propylon index?

Retrieve the Hlaalu notes from the escaped cattle in Romayon, and bring them to Varos as instructed.

Varos lives further into the mine, in the library of the Dunmer stronghold of Romayon. He has taken an interest in the outside world, and asked for one of my scouts to take some notes on the local Hlaalu. Somehow one of our cattle broke free and tried to escape, and took the notes with them. They should still be in Romayon. Take this key, find the notes, and bring them to Varos. I do not care what happens to the cattle.

I assume that's referring to me.

Our ancient Varos left our clan recently. He has told no one where he is going, but his choices are his own to make.

Varos lives deep within the mine, in an ancient Dunmer stronghold buried under the earth. Commander gro-Othmog is our leader, but we have a great respect for our ancient as the progenitor of our dark powers.
