It's a good thing you found it, %PCRank. The last thing we need is an investigation by the Battlemage Corps. Nolidrando
You may have just saved us a world of trouble, %pcrank. I'll be keeping this under much closer watch from now on. Here, this book is for you. You deserve a bit of light reading after all I put you through. Nolidrando
Sarus Eloth, huh? I doubt he meant any harm by it. It won't be too much trouble for you to go and get that book from the Skyrender hive, will it? Hurry along now. Nolidrando
I don't know if the book was stolen or if it's simply lost. Either way, we need to replace it. Nolidrando
Thank you again. I'm just relieved that I won't be getting kicked out of the Guild. I've learned my lesson -- next time I want to impress my superiors, I'll find a less dangerous method. Stay away from Skyrender hives, sera. That's my advice. Sarus Eloth
I'm sorry for taking it. It all started when I overheard a heated conversation between the Arch-Mage and Ralsa Ondusi. The term came up a number of times, so I decided to look into it. I thought that if I learned something and told one of them, I might advance in the Guild. Sarus Eloth
I suppose I should just confess. I took the book. I didn't think that anyone would notice it was gone. But I can't give it back. I didn't want anybody to see me reading it here, so I brought it with me when I went to practice magic in Shipal-Shin. I was trying to Calm a Skyrender near Dubshal hive, but the spell somehow Frenzied me instead. I was inside of the hive, fists swinging, when I finally came to my senses and Recalled away. I dropped the book inside. It's all very embarrassing. Sarus Eloth Disposition ≥ 65
Well, since you mention it, Sarus Eloth did ask me about the book. I didn't mention it to Nolidrando because I didn't want him to get into any trouble. He comes from a rather poor family, you know. I don't know if he could afford to pay for a replacement. Teratha Salveth
Teratha Salveth helps out in the library. Have you asked her about it? Mages Guild Disposition ≥ 30 Narsis, Guild of Mages
The book is called Dead Magic. It's a transcript of a lecture given by Archmagister Xodores. That should be explanation enough as to why the book's disappearance could cause a stir. The last thing we need is the Blades breathing down our necks, especially with Arch-Mage Ysadora on leave. Ask around. If you can't find the one we lost, another copy would work as well. We just can't have it missing from the archives. Nolidrando
