You have my thanks. I doubt Nalvs Andolin will pay you, so I went around and asked the rest of the Temple staff here to chip in. This pocket change probably does not cover everything, but I hope it helps. Sani Edralo
Don't come back with something rotten or scraped out of a gutter, %PCRank. Nalvs Andolin has probably instructed you to go for the cheapest available option you can find, stingy as he is, but I think the people of Bal Foyen deserve better. Sani Edralo
I have heard that you claim to be the Incarnate. I do not know the truth of the matter, but for now I will not give you duties. Nalvs Andolin
So you went and spent how many hundreds of drakes on the promise of a street peddler? I am disappointed in you, %PCRank. Your judgement is highly questionable. No, of course I cannot reimburse you. I never signed off on any of this. *Sigh* At least the kitchen staff will be happy, I suppose, if this merchant of yours follows through on his promises. As for you, I trust you will execute your duties more diligently in the future. Nalvs Andolin
Rat meat might not be the tastiest, but it will keep our kitchen running and the paupers of Bal Foyen from starving. You did a good thing, %PCRank. Here, let me reimburse you. And then let us discuss your further duties. Nalvs Andolin
Running a free kitchen for the poor isn't cheap, %PCRank. That's why we have to be judicious in our spending and grasp any chance at a good bargain. Nalvs Andolin
Great! Thank you for your business, %PCRace. Now, you were saying, you're looking for your friend Ravur Othravel? Vonos Arendas
Oh, have I got a bargain for you! One crate of mystery meat, freshly fished out of the ocean. Must've fallen off a ship. I think it's rat. Rat meat, that is. A true delicacy. It can be yours for just ten drakes. I'll even carry it to the Temple for you. What say you? Vonos Arendas Disposition ≥ 30
I hope Nalvs Andolin won't be too cross with us for not going for the cheapest available option, but even if he disagrees, the deal has been made and the kitchen pantry will be fully stocked for a long time to come. Thank you, muthsera. Ravur Othravel
I doubt the poor are going to be happy with rat meat, but I suppose at the very least they won't starve. Still, I wish we could have gotten them something more palatable. Ravur Othravel
At the western docks. You're not seriously going back there, are you? I'll stay here and try to arrange for better supplies. Ravur Othravel
Ugh, I suppose you're right. But I doubt the kitchen staff will be happy with this. I'll meet you back at the Temple. Ravur Othravel

Ugh. Okay, if you say so. But I doubt the kitchen staff will be happy with this. I'll meet you back at the Temple. Ravur Othravel
You will? Great! He seems willing enough, but we couldn't quite reach an agreement on an affordable price. Ravur Othravel
Respectfully sera, I simply cannot leave before we secure some sort of supplies for the Temple kitchen. We cannot let the people of Bal Foyen go hungry. Ravur Othravel

Nalvs Andolin told me there was a bargain to be had on the western docks, but all I found was a fisherman selling a stolen crate of drowned rat. I could not, in good conscience, buy that for our kitchen. So I went in search for better supplies, but as it turns out, the only merchant selling fresh food in all of Bal Foyen has disappeared. Just our luck. Ravur Othravel

We've been negotiating prices, and he seems willing to help, but we've not been able to come to an agreement. Perhaps you can help? Ravur Othravel
I will promptly arrange for deliveries of supplies. Thank you, %PCName. This arrangement will be a great boon to both my business and the people of Bal Foyen. Gavros Falas Disposition ≥ 30
I am not unsympathetic to the plight of Bal Foyen's poor. I've hit rock bottom myself once or twice, and it's not pretty. But I'm running a business here, not a charity, and I need to consider what's in it for me. I could make a one-time donation to the Temple, but that'd help neither you nor me in the long run. Instead, I propose a longer-term arrangement. For a lump sum payment, I will stock the Temple kitchens with various surplus, high-quality goods from my supplier network for the next two years.
