Suggumaliku has taken the change badly, as expected, but he does not have the power to defy me. I am confident you'll have nothing more to worry about. Belet-Adammumuz
I understand your position. I will do what I can to bring Suggumaliku's teachings in line with your views. Belet-Adammumuz
You make it sound as if we have no choice. Fine. I have no direct power over what the people believe, but I will put pressure on Suggumaliku to align his sermons with your Temple. In time, the Gan-Ettu will change their way of thinking. I hope we will have no further disagreements. Belet-Adammumuz Disposition ≥ 90
If I were to personally, it would mean nothing. The tribe looks to Suggumaliku for spiritual matters. If I leveraged my influence around the camp, I could perhaps force him to preach something different, but that would be an enormous undertaking. You are an outsider that I do not fully trust. I cannot side with you over a Gan-Ettu in this. Belet-Adammumuz
Suggumaliku says that we share many beliefs, and that you are knowledgeable in some things, but that you are too distant from Vivec's miracles to understand them. I believe in the divinity of the Tribunal and their righteous stewardship of Resdayn. Beyond that, I do not know enough about your views to say for sure what we disagree on. Belet-Adammumuz
If you had ever seen us fight alongside them, you would not need to ask. They are peerless warriors who strike terror into the hearts of those who face them. Are they divine? Through the years, our wise men have all said so, and I believe them. But even if they have been wrong, our skyrenders are worthy partners. Belet-Adammumuz
Vivec is here. The others are not. If Almalexia or Sotha Sil ever set foot in our camp, we would certainly celebrate them as we do Vivec. But there are only the skyrenders, Vivec's children, who are always by our sides. Belet-Adammumuz
If you have religious questions, Suggumaliku is better equipped to answer them than me. I am a hunter first and foremost. But if you insist, I will tell you what I can. Belet-Adammumuz
I have heard that you have defended us. You will never be Gan-Ettu, but I shall always count you as a friend. Suggumaliku
There can be no 'moderation' of the truth. I would die before I turned my back on Vivec, and if you kill me, the Gan-Ettu will reject you and those you represent. Suggumaliku
They are accurate -- broadly. But you have such gaping holes in your knowledge. When I first took my position as our wise man, I considered traveling to your temples to spread our wisdom. I no longer consider this. I have accepted that, as outsiders, you cannot truly grasp our teachings any more than a scrib can learn to fly. Suggumaliku
As Vivec's offspring, they contain a spark of divinity. By tending to their needs and living among them, we grow closer to this spark, and therefore closer to Vivec. We become ourselves divine. Perhaps you will feel the barest hint of this during your time here. Suggumaliku
We recognize and glorify each member of the Tribunal, but the Gan-Ettu are the purest expression of Vivec's will. Through meat honey, he is within us. Through his skyrenders, he is among us. We exalt his name as only his favorite children can. Suggumaliku
I have explained the way of things a thousand times. The fellche refuse to understand. But if it will make you leave my tent sooner, I will answer your questions. Suggumaliku
You claim to fulfill the false prophecies of the 'Incarnate' and the 'Nerevarine,' but you are really an agent in the pay of the Imperial Intelligence Service. You are an outlaw, a fraud, and an enemy of the Temple. Go away. Irilyn Aran
Never forget that pride is one of the Graces. There is a time and a place for discretion, but when our faith is attacked, we must defend it. We have such little else left. Irilyn Aran
We will, of course, be watching the Gan-Ettu closer from now on. That they required such an intervention does not bode well for them. But I am glad they could be swayed from the path of ruin, if perhaps only temporarily. Irilyn Aran
Interesting. Only time will tell if such a change is even possible. Still, we would be remiss if we did not grant them this one last chance. Excellent work, %PCRank. Take this enchanted gauntlet as a symbol of my appreciation, and speak with me again when you're ready for more duties. Irilyn Aran
So be it. I'll send a request for the Order of the Inquisition to cleanse the camp. The Gan-Ettu have had many chances to change their ways, and they've refused every one. What happens next is on no one's hands but their own. For your work, take this enchanted gauntlet. Speak with me again when you're ready for more duties. Irilyn Aran
I find that difficult to believe. Nevertheless, I assigned you to this mission for a reason, and I will abide by your findings. I only hope that we are not making a mistake. Speak with me again when you're ready for more duties. Irilyn Aran
The Gan-Ettu will no longer speak to you? To refuse an Ordinator does not bode well for them. I will grant them one final chance by sending another member of the Order in your place. They would be wise not to waste it. As for yourself, I have other duties which you could take care of personally, %PCRank. Irilyn Aran
Go to the Gan-Ettu camp, question the tribe's wise man and saharkhan to learn the extent of their heterodoxy, and return to me with your findings. If they are unrepentant heretics, as I suspect, we must treat them as we would any other enemies of the faith. Irilyn Aran
I believe the Gan-Ettu to be heretics, as do many in this Order. However, a significant minority among us consider them mere eccentrics. In the interest of courtesy, I am assigning you as a neutral party to discover the truth. Go to the Gan-Ettu camp and question the wise man, their spiritual leader, and the saharkhan, their military leader. Return to me when you have finished. If the Gan-Ettu are truly heretics, I will contact the Order of the Inquisition to see that they are dealt with accordingly. Irilyn Aran
The Gan-Ettu are one of the many Shinathi tribes which make their home in Shipal-Shin, far southwest of here. Unlike the other tribes, which have been faithful and unproblematic worshipers of the Tribunal for generations, the Gan-Ettu hold several unorthodox views. Among these are a particular reverence for skyrenders, disgusting Shipal-Shin predators which they assign divine qualities to and live among without fear. Irilyn Aran
