Well, quite simply, the Madgod wants you to highlight this folly. Remove all the lanterns hanging from the manor's ceilings. Mundane it may seem, but presuming anything of Sheogorath's intents would be utmost hypocrisy. So, go to the Nethril Plantation, and visit its manor. The Madgod is concerned with only that part of the plantation, and don't worry about lockpicks. You might need to exercise a little stealth at times -- but all for the glory of Sheogorath. It has been of amusement to our Lord that the housekeeper of the Nethril Plantation Manor has adorned it with lanterns hung in a most particular fashion.
