A Tale of Breath, Brine and Brotherhood

I have agreed to deliver a shipment of waterbreathing potions to brothers Norlan and Tarith Rosehearth for Irene Pelenitus, an apprentice alchemist at Geniette Winvale's alchemy shop in Narsis. Irene told me that the brothers are at The Last Drop in Narsis' Foreign Quarter. Irene also asked me to give them a partial refund of 100 gold.

I have delivered the shipment of waterbreathing potions to Tarith and Norlan at The Last Drop. Tarith thanked me, but told me to return the refund to Irene Pelenitus.

I returned to Irene Pelenitus and learned that she accidentally brewed regular waterbreathing potions instead of the specially ordered Dreugh Hunter's Elixirs. Irene informed me that the brothers are planning to use these potions on a diving adventure, and asked me to deliver the Dreugh Hunter's Elixirs as soon as possible to ensure no harm comes to them.

I returned to The Last Drop to find that one of the brothers, Tarith, had already left for his adventure along with the potions I gave him. Norlan has some things he must do before he leaves Narsis, and has instead asked me to deliver the Dreugh Hunter's Elixirs to his brother, who will be waiting in Othmura.

Valesu Adren, publican of the High Wall Cornerclub in Othmura, told me that Tarith spent a long time asking him about local caves in the area. He took a particular interest in Magun Grotto and left the tavern in search of it.

I found Tarith stranded in an air pocket inside Magun Grotto, where he told me that the effect of his potions ran out long before he had expected them to. I have given Tarith the means to escape from Magun Grotto, but he won't leave yet. He said that a troll attacked him and stole his family blade.

Tarith refused to leave Magun Grotto without his family blade. He told me that the troll which took it ambushed him and escaped down an underwater tunnel that adjoins the chamber.

I have returned Tarith Rosehearth's family blade to him. He thanked me and told me to meet him back at the High Wall Cornerclub in Othmura.

I met Norlan and Tarith Rosehearth back in Othmura's High Wall Cornerclub, where Tarith declared that he will take a hiatus from adventuring. He entrusted the Thorn of Rosehearth to me and named me an honorary member of the Rosehearth family. He also mentioned that if I am ever in Narsis again, I should let Irene Pelenitus know that things turned out well.

I returned to Irene Pelenitus at Geniette Winvale's alchemy shop in Narsis and told her about my adventure. Irene thanked me for saving the brothers and for fixing her mistakes by giving me some potions and letting me keep the refund money.

I informed Irene Pelenitus that both the Rosehearth brothers are dead.
