Complicated Competition

Drithnil Virith, a healer in Tel Gilan, suspects that the local alchemist, Nisirel, intends to steal his alchemical formulas. He wants me to confront Nisirel and get a confession out of her.

Nisirel denied that she intends to steal Drithnil's formulae, but refused to explain why she keeps visiting his shop. Drithnil will want to know about this.

Drithnil is convinced that Nisirel has ulterior motives for her visits. He wants me to search her shop for evidence.

I found Nisirel's diary in her shop: the alchemist is clearly in love with Drithnil. If I show it to him, it should take care of his suspicions.

The local enchanter, Ervul Dranoth, asked me to plant some alchemical notes in Nisirel's chest in order to confirm Drithnil's suspicions and cause trouble for her business.

I have planted the notes in Nisirel's chest.

I reported to Drithnil that Nisirel was stealing his work. He rewarded me with some gold.

I reported to Ervul that I framed Nisirel for stealing Drithnil's work. Ervul gave me a small amount of gold.

I told Drithnil about Nisirel's feelings for him. He was pleasantly surprised and gave me an amulet as a reward. He said he will pay Nisirel a visit and apologize for his mistaken suspicions.

I showed Drithnil the alchemical formulas that Ervul gave to me. He recognized them as his own private notes. He will ask the guards to arrest Ervul.
