Aetia Nemesia has asked me to retrieve the Silverspoon, a magical talisman of some interest to the East Empire Company, from Novor Dals, a Dunmer agent in Menaan. To get to Menaan, Aetia suggests I take a boat to Bal Foyen and then a silt strider from there.
The Silverspoon
I brought Aetia Nemesia the Silverspoon. She asked me to give her a moment to talk with it. In the meantime, she says Ma'Shavir, the office receptionist, has been looking for me.
Ma'Shavir presented me with a letter from one Merxia Vendicci, a director of the East Empire Company, who wants to meet me. Her manor sits in the central plaza of Old Ebonheart, directly across from the Company hall.
Merxia Vendicci suspects that Aetia Nemesia is abusing her position in the Company for illicit gains, but she lacks any real evidence of corruption. Merxia wants me to tell her about the assignments Aetia has sent me on.
I refused to tell Merxia about my assignments from Aetia. She fired me.
I told Merxia about the assignment with the excise agent.
I told Merxia about the assignment with the counterfeiters.
I told Merxia about the Silverspoon. She was unimpressed with what I had found and asked me to investigate further.
I told Merxia how I heard the Silverspoon was linked to Clavicus Vile. She told me to be extremely cautious and to report to her immediately after Aetia gave me my next assignment.
I have learned that the Silverspoon is an obscure artifact of the Daedric Prince Clavicus Vile, related to his spheres of oath-breaking and wish fulfillment.
Raynil Vando in Menaan says both the Silverspoon and Aetia Nemesia are linked to Clavicus Vile.
