Aetia Nemesia in Old Ebonheart tells me there are counterfeiters operating in Old Ebonheart's western sewers. She's asked me to kill them and return with a sample of their counterfeit coins for investigation. To find them, she advises I enter the sewers via the city's western well, behind the office building.

Instead of killing the counterfeiters, a guard at the office has suggested I turn them over to the Imperial Legion for interrogation. If I find their sewer hideout and report back to the guard, he can have them and their counterfeits taken into custody.

In addition to counterfeiting, the gentlemen in the sewer are guilty of unregulated magical training, but they evidently show arcane promise. Arquebald Vene, Arch-Mage of the Old Ebonheart Mages Guild, is willing to take them under his wing if I tell him where they're hiding.

I spoke with one of the counterfeiters, Arvs Reladren. He told me the East Empire Company used to tolerate his practice and even buy his fake Dwemer coins.

When I mentioned to Aetia how the counterfeiters used to sell their goods to someone in the East Empire Company, she noted that by my description, their sewer hideout was right next to the manor of Company higher-up Merxia Vendicci, but warned me not to draw any conclusions.
