Haunted Instrument

Sinarrius Autrinix in Shipal-Sharai asked me to put a stop to the haunting music coming from the abandoned apartment above the Autrinix residence. He said if I can't get in myself, his landlord, Davenas Vedralu, might be willing to give me his key to the door. Davenas should be inside Llaros Samalsi's manor, across the road from the Autrinix residence.

I met the source of the haunting music, an ancestor ghost, in the abandoned apartment above the Autrinix residence. He told me that he was one of Shipal-Sharai's founders, and that he built and lived his days in this apartment. After he died, he watched the property change hands for generations before the last owner left and the place fell apart. Ever since a wall collapse disturbed the ghost's peace, he's been playing his shiratar to try and calm himself.

The ancestor ghost told me he'd be able to finally find rest if I were to return the Boots of the First Settler to him. He said that they should be in the Samalsi Ancestral Tomb, off the road south of Shipal-Shirai.

The ancestor ghost thanked me for bringing him back his boots. After rewarding me for them, he took his shiratar and peacefully vanished.

The ancestor ghost saw that I bore the mark of a Speaker for the Dead. He told me that if I were to get Llaros Samalsi, his descendant and the governor of Shipal-Sharai, to clean up the dirt in the abandoned apartment, then he should be able to rest again.

The ghost was disappointed to hear that Llaros Samalsi was dead.

Llaros Samalsi refused to help clean up the dirt in the abandoned apartment. He told me to do it instead.

Since his descendant wouldn't clean up the dirt, the ghost asked me to do it instead. He told me that he should have a sledgehammer somewhere in the apartment. He asked me to use it to destroy the large mounds of dirt and rocks, then buy or borrow a shovel from someone in town and use it to clean up the small dirt piles.

I cleaned up all of the debris in the abandoned apartment.
