The Famous Fraud

In Hla Bulor, the local 'hetman', Dolrem Pares, told me that he needs my help with an issue regarding one of the villagers, Trela Varesi.

I declined to help Dolrem Pares with his chore.

I agreed to help Dolrem Pares with his problem. Apparently, Trela Varesi is renowned in the village for having a rather too high opinion of herself. Lately, she has been even more touchy than usual when anyone questions her 'fame'. Dolrem wants me to work out what her problem is.

I spoke to Trela Varesi, and it seems she is waiting on a pair of letters from the guard captain of Tel Mothrivra, and a renowned clothier of Llothanis.

Trela Varesi revealed that she had sent letters to Merlador of Llothanis and Golyn Sedrethi of Tel Mothrivra with the intention of inviting them to visit her in Hla Bulor.

Dolrem Pares was not surprised by Trela Varesi's bizarre audacity, but knew that she would get no reply. To prevent her from being deeply offended, he wants to find a forger to write a letter. He suggested I go and find the savant Hjotir, who lives out somewhere east of Hla Bulor.

Hjotir agreed to forge a pair of letters for me, in return for a simple payment.

I gave Trela Varesi the forged letters from her 'venerable guests'. She seemed pleased enough, despite the rejection.

Dolrem Pares was very grateful that I had managed to appease Trela, and gave me potions of restore fatigue in thanks.
