The Rift

I encountered a mage named Ralam Othravel in the Boethiah's Spine east of Alt Bosara. He invited me into his tower, Ald Volos, to discuss a job opportunity.

Ralam Othravel wants me to track down three books which he believes will help him open the rift to a pocket realm he wishes to claim. I agreed to help him. The books he asked me to find are 'Introduction to Hermaean Logic', 'Hyperagonal Media Theorem', and 'Transpontine Circumpenetrations'.

Ralam Othravel paid me 2000 gold for the books he needed to open the rift.

Ralam Othravel is dead.

Ralam Othravel has begun the ritual to open the rift.

Water is pouring from the rift, and flying cephalopods are appearing throughout Ald Volos.

A Dunmer priest named Raryn Girando emerged from the rift. He told me that I must close it by going inside and removing the three books which Ralam Othravel used to open it. He gave me three Detect Key scrolls which he says will help locate them, and warned me that there is no air on the other side.

I retrieved the three books from the rift.

After exiting the rift, it closed behind me.

Raryn Girando died while I was in the rift. His ghost appeared in the tower to give me a coded package, which he asked me to deliver to Idras Berendus in Necrom's Hall of Contemplation.

Idras Berendus thanked me for bringing him the coded package from Ald Volos. As thanks, he gave me an enchanted belt and some jewels.
