Are you speaking of Staunch-Roots and his idle fancies? I heard he died.

Staunch-Roots as an Indoril clerk... I suppose stranger things have happened. I still wonder how he demonstrated his devotion to the Tribunal, though.

Well, it sounds like Staunch-Roots may become a clerk after all. I can't say that I'll miss him much, but I do hope he serves Indoril Beroth well.

Staunch-Roots is skilled for a slave -- and an Argonian -- and I'd be reluctantly willing to attest to that, but I don't want to involve myself in this any further. If you need book recommendations, ask someone else. Anyone else.

'Charity and Leadership' or 'The Anticipations' may be good choices.

'Lives of the Saints' or 'Dunmer Law: A Primer' may be good choices.

'Meditations on Determined Law' or 'On the Definition of Heresy' may be good choices.

Thank you again, %PCName.

I have truly moved up in the world. Against all odds, I have demonstrated my devotion to both the Tribunal and House Indoril. In my current station, I can walk the lands freely and pick the flowers of Indoril Beroth's garden, and for that I cannot thank you enough. Please take these as a small symbol of my gratitude.

Thank you, %PCClass. I hope to see you again someday. Perhaps behind Imperial walls. Goodbye for now.

I can't say I'm particularly sad about this turn of events, but I have no chance at becoming a clerk without her recommendation. Perhaps... if you could find the key and get rid of the retainers nearby, I could go free. I've heard that the key is kept in one of the desks within the Statesmen's Hall.

Thank you again for the books. If I'm successful, you'll be able to find me in the Clerks and Chandlers Hall within Beroth House.

I think this is everything I need. I have a good chance at passing the clerk exam now. Thank you, %PCName. If I'm successful, I'll meet you in the Clerks and Chandlers Hall within Beroth House in five days.

I see. Remember, I need books focusing on Indoril law and Temple theology. Please come back if you find any.

Thank you! I'll get right to studying.

Do you have any books for me?

I understand. If you ever change your mind, I'll be here.

Thank you. More specifically, I'm looking for books on Indoril law and Temple theology. Three should be plenty, but I don't know of any specific books that would help. I suggest that you speak with some of the housemen around Nanaav to see what they recommend. This is all a long shot, but I truly believe it's my best chance at freedom.

I've always been good at keeping track of numbers, and my overseer, Nulso Llarys, recently said that I could be admitted to House Indoril as a clerk if I passed the exam. I don't know much about the Tribunal or the inner workings of the House, though, so I need study material. Would you be able to help me?
