I'm disappointed that it isn't truly divine. Still, maybe it's for the best that Valgo wasn't able to get his hands on a real relic. Solas Ilvu
The guards may disagree, but personally, I greatly respect what you did. Valgo was not worthy of holding one of our relics. As strange as it is to say, you are truly worthy of being an Ordinator, outlander. Solas Ilvu
Thank you! Now to finally... wait a minute. This is the work of an amateur. Do you see those little divots in the metal? They're a clear sign that whoever enchanted this didn't know how to insulate the matrix properly. I'm sorry for wasting your time, but I don't think this is a relic at all. It's just an ordinary amulet. Solas Ilvu
You have the Torc! May I take a look? I'm very interested to see the craftsmanship that went into it. Solas Ilvu
It's not every day that objects of divine power pass through Othrenis. I asked Valgo Geldius if I could examine it, but he pulled it away from me. The nerve of that outlander! It's absurd that we have to suffer this nonsense. Solas Ilvu
I'm glad to have it back, but it's not really the same. Maybe if I just pretend... no, that doesn't work at all. Valgo Geldius
Well, that's not... it could be any... fine, then! What do I care about some stupid necklace? Just take it! Valgo Geldius
Well, I bought it. Legitimately. A woman was selling it outside the tower of Sunbabi, north of town. Now, I didn't exactly ask what someone like her was doing with something like this, but that's not a crime. Right? Valgo Geldius Disposition ≥ 70
Maybe I found it laying on the ground. I don't know. My memory's a little fuzzy. Have I mentioned how much respect I have for you Ordinators? Valgo Geldius
You claim to fulfill the false prophecies of the 'Incarnate' and the 'Nerevarine,' but you are really an agent in the pay of the Imperial Intelligence Service. You are an outlaw, a fraud, and an enemy of the Temple. Go away. Irilyn Aran
That must not even be its name. We'll need to find something less blasphemous to call it. Irilyn Aran
So the Torc is not a relic after all. In that case, there's no need for us to intervene, and you've saved us all quite a lot of trouble. Thank you, %PCRank. I had only planned to give you this other amulet as a reward, but for going above and beyond, allow me to teach you a spell alongside it. I found it exceedingly useful when I was still being dispatched to the field myself. Report to me for more duties when you've readied yourself again. Irilyn Aran
Is that so? Then there was no need for us to intervene after all. You've saved us quite a lot of trouble. Thank you, %PCRank. I had only planned to give you this other amulet as a reward, but for going above and beyond, allow me to teach you a spell alongside it. I found it exceedingly useful when I was still being dispatched to the field myself. Report to me for more duties when you've readied yourself again. Irilyn Aran
Thank you. I'll task another Ordinator with identifying the tomb so the Torc can be reinterred. As for you, please accept this other enchanted amulet as a reward. Return to me for more duties once you think yourself ready. Irilyn Aran
Thank you. Unfortunately, without Valgo to answer our questions, we may never learn its true origins. We shall keep the Torc here until a more suitable place for it is found. Are you prepared to take on more duties? Irilyn Aran
The information you have found certainly casts doubt on the pedigree of this Torc, however a full assessment cannot be made without inspecting the object itself. Valgo must be made to relinquish it, one way or another. Irilyn Aran
Whether Valgo purchased the Torc legally himself is not necessarily relevant. If those he bought it from acquired it illicitly, or so on down the line, then Valgo's possession of it is illegal. Go to the tower of Sunbabi and see if you can find anything incriminating. Irilyn Aran
Valgo Geldius would not be the first outlander to steal one of our holy relics. Go to Othrenis and interrogate him to learn how he obtained it. From how he was described to me, he seems to be a weak and cowardly man. Simple threats may change his mind if he refuses to answer your questions. Irilyn Aran
As with many of the Magus' minor relics, we have no record of its existence, let alone its history of ownership. But given the circumstances, I consider it highly likely that the Torc is stolen property. The outlander's name is Valgo Geldius. Go to Othrenis and interrogate him to find out how he acquired it. If it has indeed been stolen, bring it to me so that I may return it to its rightful owner. Irilyn Aran
For it to appear to us now is surely a sign. But in the hands of an outlander? And one so greedy, at that? Our enchanter, Solas Ilvu, wanted to document its power, but Valgo Geldius refused to let him borrow it. Temple Othrenis
That's the name of the relic Valgo Geldius was showing off by the outdoor market. He refuses to say how he got a hold of it. He's been incredibly disrespectful, too. A man from the Temple asked to study it, but Valgo wouldn't let him. Dark Elf Othrenis
It's a divine relic, apparently. Valgo Geldius was showing it to people on the west side of town. There was some kind of disagreement -- one of those Temple folks wanted to fiddle with it, but he wasn't given the chance. Othrenis
