It is said: let faith be your only law. It is only fitting that the slave must follow Saint Aralor the Penitent to repent his sins. Indoril Ilvi
While I wish to ensure that everyone under my guidance is safe and prosperous, I do this by directing my attention towards greater challenges. If you need aid in the more worldly affairs, speak with my chaplain Diranya. Indoril Ilvi
Indoril Ilvi has allowed Talen-Ei to repent his sins by following the example of Saint Aralor. Talen-Ei has already departed from Roa Dyr to make a kneeling pilgrimage to his shrine in the Monastery of St. Aralor. Now, is there anything else you'd like to discuss? Diranya
Are you being serious, %PCName? Do you truly think that with Indoril Ilvi's death I have nothing better to do than bother with some useless slave? Diranya
Eveshi put you up to this, didn't she? Truly, the greatest evil of all is misplaced kindness. No matter. The punishment wasn't decided yet, %PCName. These things take time. Try asking again tomorrow. Diranya
Talen-Ei is a thief? I see. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will make sure appropriate measures are taken. Diranya
I'm just glad Talen-Ei is back. The punishment was harsh, but maybe it will do him some good. He didn't listen to my words, I hope pain will be more convincing. Ju-Ril
I feared the worst; I am so relieved to hear they sent him on a pilgrimage instead. Thank you for telling me, %PCName. Ju-Ril
Did you really free Talen-Ei, %PCName? Thank you. Masters can be cruel, but he won't risk punishment anymore. Ju-Ril
You told me you would help, %PCName! Then why did the guards take him away? I should have kept quiet, and now I will never see my friend again. Ju-Ril
You told me you would help, %PCName! Then why did the guards take him away? I should have kept quiet. Even if this isn't your fault, I should have guessed someone would notice. Now I will never see my friend again. Ju-Ril
You know it was him? Please have mercy, Talen-Ei wishes no harm! He is just lost... speak to him. Ju-Ril
No. I... You're one of us, so I will say. It's Talen-Ei. But you need to understand, he wishes no harm. He is just lost. Speak to him. Ju-Ril
No. I... If you truly wish to help, I will say. It's Talen-Ei. But please have mercy, he wishes no harm. He is just lost. Speak to him. Ju-Ril Disposition ≥ 90
Talen-Ei is back. The punishment was odd, but not as harsh as expected. Speak to him, if you wish. He is below. Wishes-For-Night
Odd, but I am grateful for this punishment. I couldn't even dream of seeing so much and doing something so grand before. I can see now how pathetic it was to steal these things for some cheap thrill. Talen-Ei
When they took me away, I feared the worst. As I accepted my fate, I have found that it has a sense of humor. I wished for hardship and novelty. They have sent me to a shrine far from here. I was to walk on my knees and leave an offering to their saint. The Dunmer told me this saint was once a criminal as well, and has repented by taking a pilgrimage. Same as I, but much longer. Hard to imagine, I still have trouble walking. Talen-Ei
You told the merchant you could not find anyone? I... am grateful. There are no words. Please, take this -- it is all I have. Talen-Ei
But now I see that this was a delusion. Dear, welcome, but fleeting like all the rest... Everything I have taken is still nearby. Have you seen the merchant's camp near the northern docks? It's right next to a hill. Go to the opposite side of it. In a small cluster of rocks near the river, a sack is hidden; you will find everything in it. Talen-Ei
But now I see that this was a delusion. Dear, welcome, but fleeting like all the rest... You have already found my stash, now do as you will. Talen-Ei
I do not need these things, in truth, and I never did. I am... sorry for all the harm I have brought. It was never our wish to hurt anyone. But this life is a hard one, and a simple one. We are provided for. Shielded from harm. But we have no freedom, and every day is the same. I allowed myself to think, for a moment, that I could be my own person. It was dangerous, it was challenging, and there was no help. And this was good. Talen-Ei
[The slave looks at you for a moment before nodding.] Yes, this is ours. Everything else in the sack are the stolen items. But if you are willing to listen, we will explain. Talen-Ei
[The slave looks at you for a moment before nodding.] Yes, you were told the truth. I am the thief you're looking for. But if you are willing to listen, we will explain. Talen-Ei
Why did you kill him, %PCName? No, don't bother answering. I don't believe there is an answer that would change my mind. Eveshi Drilor
I hope you don't think that I have forgiven you just because everything worked out fine in the end. This was no thanks to you and you had no way of knowing what you will bring about. Eveshi Drilor
I still can't believe you've gone exactly against my instructions, but if you're wondering what happened, I suppose I will share. Talen-Ei has returned. Indoril Ilvi has sent him on a kneeling pilgrimage to a shrine in the Monastery of St. Aralor, in case you forgot. Personally, I don't care much about symbolism. I'm just glad he was given a chance. It couldn't have been easy, but perhaps following the example of a saint will help him overcome his weakness. Eveshi Drilor
I still can't believe you've gone exactly against my instructions, but if you're wondering what happened, I suppose I will share. Talen-Ei has returned later, and it turns out Indoril Ilvi has sent him on a kneeling pilgrimage to a shrine in the Monastery of St. Aralor. Personally, I don't care much about symbolism. I'm just glad he was given a chance. It couldn't have been easy, but perhaps following the example of a saint will help him overcome his weakness. Eveshi Drilor

Have you heard the news? Talen-Ei was gone for quite a while and I suspected the worst. But then he came back, and it turns out Indoril Ilvi has sent him on a kneeling pilgrimage to a shrine in the Monastery of St. Aralor. Personally, I don't care much about symbolism. I'm just glad he was given a chance. It couldn't have been easy, but perhaps following the example of a saint will help him overcome his weakness. Eveshi Drilor
You found out that Indoril Ilvi sent Talen-Ei on a pilgrimage to a shrine n the Monastery of St. Aralor? Thank you, I suppose, but if you think I have forgiven you because of this, you're mistaken. Eveshi Drilor
You found out that Indoril Ilvi sent Talen-Ei on a pilgrimage to a shrine in the Monastery of St. Aralor? Oh, I'm so glad to hear that. Thank you for informing me, %PCName. Eveshi Drilor
I'm sorry, but this seems fairly irrelevant in the chaos caused by Indoril Ilvi's death. I appreciate your aid, but it just doesn't matter anymore. Eveshi Drilor
I'm sorry, but this seems quite irrelevant in the chaos caused by Diranya's death. I appreciate your aid, but it just doesn't matter anymore. Eveshi Drilor
I'm afraid I don't have any news, %PCName. Talen-Ei hasn't returned yet, if he ever will. Eveshi Drilor
Yes, I'm afraid someone has informed the guards. They led Talen-Ei away just before you returned. I'm afraid we can't do anything else. I can only hope that people will be careful in their judgement. Here, these scrolls might be of use. We may have failed, but you still deserve a reward for your efforts. If I find out anything about what happened, I will tell you about it next time you visit. Eveshi Drilor
This is important, %PCName. I would give this note to Diranya myself, but there's so much I need to do and there's already enough tension between us. Eveshi Drilor
Good, just give them to me and I will return them. Before we continue, I need you to do one more thing. I need you to give a note to Diranya. Eveshi Drilor
Please find them. I can't consider the matter resolved while they are still missing. Perhaps Talen-Ei would be willing to tell you where they are? Eveshi Drilor
As I said, I appreciate your help, %PCName, even if we weren't able to find the culprit. Eveshi Drilor
So it was Talen-Ei all along? He was acting a bit strange, now that I think of it. Good work, %PCName. Before we continue, I need you to do one more thing. I need you to give a note to Diranya. Eveshi Drilor
So it was Talen-Ei all along? He was acting a bit strange, now that I think of it. Good work, %PCName. I'm afraid I still need to return the items. Have you located them? Eveshi Drilor
A slave market leaflet? Let me take a look. Hmm... It has to be Talen-Ei. Who else would have a leaflet with his name? Unless the thief has stolen it... No, no, that's too much to be a coincidence. That Argonian has always been odd in some ways; him keeping such a souvenir does not surprise me. Good work, %PCName. Before we continue, I need you to do one more thing. I need you to give a note to Diranya. Eveshi Drilor
Well, finding the thief is a priority now anyway. Just keep in mind that I will need to return them later. Eveshi Drilor
So, you think you've found the stash? That's good news. Does that mean you have the stolen items? Eveshi Drilor
Thank you. Here, I made a list of the stolen items. I hope it will help you in some way. I strongly suspect that the items are still in Roa Dyr, or nearby. Hidden in some stash. I'd start by searching the places slaves frequent. In the port, perhaps, or near the slave barracks. Somewhere Dunmer wouldn't look, but easy for an Argonian to reach. If you could find it, hopefully it would contain some clues. Eveshi Drilor
You misunderstand. I'm not protecting the thief. Some form of punishment is necessary, of course, but as I said, I fear that people would jump to conclusions, and punish the slave too harshly. By investigating the issue first, I am simply trying to make sure the punishment is appropriate. Don't you think the situation is odd? There doesn't seem to be any goal or ulterior motive. If the thief is simply misguided, isn't it our duty to try to help before giving up? Eveshi Drilor
The thief's identity still eludes me, however, and so does their motive: a slave wouldn't be able to sell those items, and the items themselves aren't even valuable. In fact, the selection seems practically random. I'd like you to figure out who is behind this. Report your findings to me directly; don't tell anyone else. I fear that people would jump to conclusions. Eveshi Drilor
Wonderful! I've noticed lately that some of the items reported to have been delivered here are, in fact, missing. This happened more than once, and with more than one ship. Therefore, I believe that there is a thief, and that it must be someone from Roa Dyr. I've also overheard one of the sailors complain about a lost item, so it's likely that the thief has access to the ships. All of this leads me to suspect that the culprit is one of the field slaves, who help unload the cargo. Eveshi Drilor
Yes, I've noted that items were disappearing from the ships, as of late. Normally the guards would handle this, but I find the circumstances odd. I would like to investigate myself before taking action, but my duties keep me too busy. I'd gladly accept help and, of course, reward it accordingly. Eveshi Drilor Disposition ≥ 50
