Guars and Guards

Arquebald Vene told me that a woman named Ralani Danoran is demanding that we help her with her brother, Bildam Danoran, who she believes has lost his mind. Arquebald wants me to assist her. He told me Ralani Danoran can be found in the Legion Boarding House, near the town gates.

Ralani Danoran claims someone has been magically tampering with her brother's mind. She asked me to check in on him and told me that he is a guard like her and that I could find him patrolling the city wall just outside the Mages Guild.

Bildam Danoran sounded confused when I spoke to him. He mentioned something about an amulet and a Khajiit trader in town who sold it to him.

I learned that Ernandre Nermin sold the amulet which is now in Bildam Danoran's possession.

Ernandre Nermin was surprisingly very excited to hear that Bildam Danoran had gone mad. He told me that I would understand everything once I go and look at something in his room at The Moth and Tiger inn.

I searched Ernandre's room in the Moth and Tiger and found a guar.

Ernandre told me that Bildam Danoran hasn't gone mad. Rather, he was sharing his mind with a guar. He told me that there could be a lot of money made on selling this telepathic technology, and he promised to share some of it with me if I convince Ralani Danoran that changes to her brother's mind are irreversible.

Ernandre told me that Bildam Danoran hasn't gone mad. Rather, he was sharing his mind with a guar. Now that I've killed the guar, the link is severed. Ernandre was extremely frustrated by that and told me to leave him alone.

I told Ralani Danoran that Ernandre Nermin had linked her brother's mind with that of a guar. She asked me to go back to The Moth and Tiger and kill the guar, freeing her brother's mind.

Ralani Danoran thanked me for killing the guar and asked that I personally inform Bildam of what had actually happened to him.

I convinced Ralani Danoran that Ernandre Nermin was not responsible for her brother's madness.

Ralani Danoran was disappointed to hear that I killed Ernandre Nermin.

Bildam Danoran thanked me for freeing his mind and gave me the amulet that was causing his madness.

Ernandre Nermin paid me for my help convincing Ralani Danoran.

Arquebald Vene thanked me for resolving the matter with Bildam Danoran.

Arquebald Vene chastized me for killing Ralani Danoran.

Arquebald Vene expelled me from the Mages Guild for killing Ernandre Nermin.
