The Maw of Oblivion

Arquebald Vene told me about a supposed Daedric disturbance in the pocket guildhall and asked that we go investigate it together.

I found Arquebald Vene in the pocket guildhall, surrounded by dead Daedra. He informed me that the barrier between the pocket dimension and Oblivion is broken and asked me to slay the Daedra lieutenants that occupied the other rooms.

I killed all of the Daedric lieutenants in the pocket guildhall.

Arquebald Vene told me he thinks he found a way to "cut out the liminal tumor" by making a deal with Lord Methats Uldun. For that he asked me to recover the Staff of the Typos Sophia, which was stolen from Vorthas Uldun by Lord Rathine Morgal. Arquebald told me that Morgal is hiding somewhere in the Old Ebonheart central sewers, and advised me to use some form of detection magic to find him.

Arquebald Vene was pleased that I managed to obtain the Staff of the Typos Sophia. He told me that I should speak to him again when I am ready to begin the expedition to Vorthas Uldun.

Arquebald Vene opened the gates to Vorthas Uldun and instructed me to use them. He told me to find Lord Methats Uldun and make him use the Sword of the Moon Reiver to destroy the liminal tumor -- the pocket guildhall. If for some reason this were to fail, I am to retrieve the sword and bring it back to Arquebald.

I told Arquebald Vene that I've already killed Lord Methats Uldun and obtained the Sword of the Moon Reiver. He told me to meet him back at the guildhall.

Lord Methats Uldun used the Sword of the Moon Reiver to sever the pocket guildhall from Vorthas Uldun.
