Reryna Dilvasel, a young woman in Varon, told me about her shattered dreams. She said her parents have forbidden her from becoming a stridermaster like her mother, Talnesa, and she asked me to convince them to change their minds. Talnesa is at the silt strider port, while Reryna's father, Llandras, should be at the Hem and Harper.
Doing What You Love
Llandras thanked me for convincing Reryna to stay in Varon.
I told Reryna that her parents allowed her to become Beron Tharyon's apprentice. Overjoyed, she thanked me for the help.
Llandras Dilvasel is dead.
Reryna Dilvasel is dead.
Talnesa Dilvasel revealed that she is not against her daughter following in her footsteps. She suggested that I talk to Beron Tharyon, the stridermaster in Othrenis, about taking Reryna on as an apprentice. She believes this will help convince her husband to come around.
Beron Tharyon agreed to take Reryna on as an apprentice and gave me a letter to show to her parents.
I showed Beron's letter to Llandras. He agreed to let Reryna leave Varon and learn to be a caravaner under Beron.
Llandras Dilvasel, Reryna's father, refused to let her become a caravaner. He said the job is too dangerous and that Reryna has no means to undergo training. Instead, he wants me to convince her to get a job in the mines.
Though reluctant, Reryna agreed to get a job in the mines.
