Ghost in a Gem

Arquebald Vene asked me to find Missa Rhyle, a local mage, in her tower of Ald Nishput and convince her to share everything about major pocket realms in the Old Ebonheart area. Ald Nishput is located in the Sundered Scar region to the east of Old Ebonheart, directly north of the Indoril ruin of Ald Verya at about the halfway point between it and the coast of the Inner Sea.

Upon entering Ald Nishput, I was contacted by Missa Rhyle, apparently telepathically. She told me that she is trapped somewhere in the tower.

I found Missa Rhyle. She is dead, and her soul is trapped inside of a soul gem. She was rather distraught at the realization.

Arquebald Vene suggested I get the Old Ebonheart's necromancer, Hastophos Velifer, to contact Missa Rhyle from the soul gem. Once contact has been established, I am to get her to share the information on the pocket realm corruption and its connection to other pocket realms in the Old Ebonheart area.

Hastophos Velifer told me he will be able to contact Missa Rhyle's spirit, but for that he would need to conduct a ritual. For it he needs a black rose and some gravedust. He also asked me to bring a payment of 300 septims and reminded me to bring the soul gem, to which Missa's soul is bound.

I brought everything that Hastophos Velifer asked of me. The ritual can now begin.

I have interrupted Hastophos Velifer's ritual. He was very disappointed that I wasted his efforts and time.

Missa Rhyle told me about the realm of Vorthas Uldun, ruled by one Lord Methats Uldun. She said it has been tied to the local area for centuries ever since the lndoril Raathim of Khalaan pulled their city into Oblivion. In return for providing this information, she asked that I unbind her spirit from the soul gem.

Arquebald Vene has instructed me to set Missa free. He advised me to consult with his second in command, Valkeira Krex, the Old Ebonheart guild's enchanter, Zissicheeiva, and the head of the Almas Thirr chapter, Tynachos, on how best to free her.

Valkreia Krex was horrified at the news of Missa's fate. She proposed I smash the soul gem.

I destroyed the soul gem containing Missa Rhyle's soul. Valkreia Krex has rewarded me for my cooperation.

Zissicheeiva enchanted a silver weapon using Missa Rhyle's soul.

Tynachos has taken the soul gem, containing Missa Rhyle's soul, for further study.

I told Arquebald Vene that I managed to set Missa free.

Arquebald Vene was surprised to hear that all three people that he pointed to me are dead.

Arquebal Vene chastized me for wasting our only chance at contacting Missa Rhyle.

Zissicheeiva suggested that what's left of Missa Rhyle's soul be used to enchant "something useful and beautiful."

Tynachos asked me to give him the soul gem for further study.
